Kansas City-St. Louis high-speed rail effort gets $31M

The Obama administration on Thursday said it will provide $31 million to help build high-speed passenger-rail service between Kansas City and St. Louis.

The award is part of $8 billion in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act grants the administration is awarding to develop 13 high-speed rail corridors in parts of 31 states.
