Emerson Electric, Express Scripts, Cerner, Graybar Electric and Jones Financial (Edward Jones) have made Fortune magazine’s 2012 Most Admired Companies list.
Express Scripts, the largest public company based in St. Louis with $46.1 billion in revenue in 2011, scored highest of the area companies on the list with an overall score of 6.65.
The list includes 358 companies, and the magazine also breaks out the top 50 companies in a separate list. Missouri companies Leggett & Platt, Energizer Holdings and Brown Shoe ranked as contenders on the overall list.
