Dell said Thursday that it had agreed to acquire Scalent, a privately held maker of data center software, for an undisclosed amount. Dell expects the deal to close in the current quarter, Reuters reports.
Dell said the deal would help it solidify an important component of its enterprise solutions portfolio, working with its existing line of servers, storage and network platforms.
