grainelevator_cornfields_1993187All month long Missouri Partnership is taking a look back at 31 of Missouri’s biggest stories in economic development from the past year. Today we are taking a look back at Bunge North America’s expansion in Missouri.

On March 22, Bunge North America, a leading agtech and food solutions company, announced they had finalized development on a new, state-of-the-art headquarters in St. Louis County and a product innovation center in St. Charles, Missouri. The 145,000 sq. ft. headquarters features an open concept layout with the purpose of enhancing Bunge’s collaborative culture.

“Bunge is proud to have been a part of the St. Louis community for more than 25 years,” said Todd Bastean, CEO, Bunge North America. “We are excited to remain in the region because this community is connected to so many links in the ag value chain. As we move to this new campus, we are creating a wonderful environment for our colleagues who are critical to our success in meeting the growing global demand for our products and services.”

Bunge’s expansion will allow the company to add an additional 200 employees over the course of the next several years, while also retaining more than 550 jobs in the state.
