3M in Columbia to hire 120 employees

The Missouri Development Finance Board today approved an incentives package that will allow Columbia’s 3M plant to move forward with plans to add approximately 120 employees over the next three years. The company employs 208 people today.

Michael Golden, finance officer with the Missouri Development Finance Board, said the incentives package will help 3M with $24 million in infrastructure costs over a 24-month period. Salaries for the new jobs are expected to average $44,600.
